Event Overview



P.D.E.S. is delighted to invite you to join our ※Saturday Afternoon Delight§ at Public Service Center of Shanghai Pudong (3rd floor) No. 2 Hehuan Rd Pudong, Shanghai.
The session will be held every Saturday between 2:00 p.m. 每 4:00 p.m., no admission fee come as you are except closed on May Holiday, October Golden week, X*mas, New Year and Lunar holiday.
The center is designed for local folks interacting on a regular basis with western expatriates and to re-connecting people through our common goal that is for individual to overcome the fear of practicing English speaking skills through games and social activities, helping natives to discover English speaking is not as rugged as it sees, in fact, it*s much fun languages to learn.

The program is designed in segment basis and recurring regularly. Each segment diversified into four (4) categories. Week one for English Salon, week two for current events, week three for social activities and week four for workshops. Briefly they are as follows:

Week 1 每 English Salon
Devoted to open discussion and debate. All subjects are welcomed even for personal or general questions will be treated accordingly under the instructors* guidance except politics, religion and sex which our instructors are not qualified to meet everyone*s expectation.

Week 2 每 Current Events
Relating to on-going events and cultural practices around the world.

Week 3 每 Social Activities
Engaging into social functions such as KTV, Outing, Dancing, Fishing, hiking, touring, barbecue, etc, etc.

Week 4 每 Workshop
Knowing how to prepare resume, how to prepare yourself for job interview, how to behave in your working environment, how to be perceived as an effective manager, building a sound relationship with friends or at work, and so on.

Goals of the P.D.E.S.
1. To aid individual*s inner ability and technique that will make them more effective in speaking with Westerners.
2. To enhance individual*s understanding of how Westerners are and likely to think, communicate and behave in everyday*s life.
3. To develop and encourage individual to assume the role play of cross-cultural guide within their own environment.
